What's Happening at Bucher
The PTO leads a number of programs and events throughout the year, including but not limited to the below. If you have any questions about these initiatives, or are interested in getting involved, please reach out to us.
Bucher Bistro
Takes place in February each year
Bucher Bistro is a beloved school event where volunteers transform our cafeteria into an inviting "bistro" for students during their lunch time! We enjoy music, special treats, photos with friends, restaurant-style service, and even a visit from our very own Bucher Bear mascot.
Bucher Garden
Our Bucher Garden is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn about how things grow, and to get their hands a little dirty!
Book Fairs
Takes place in the fall and the spring
The Scholastic Book Fair is a great chance to grow your home library while supporting our school's educational materials.
Ice Cream Social
Takes place each August
The ice cream social is an opportunity for families to reunite at the end of summer, before a new school year begins. Teachers often make an appearance, too, offering a chance for a relaxed "meet and greet" before the first day of school.
Race for Education
Takes place every other fall
This special "race" takes place every other year, and Bucher Bears run walk, skip, and even dance... all for a good cause!
Talent Show
Takes place each winter
Lights, camera... TALENT! Bucher Bears share their many talents with a captive audience of family and friends during this favorite annual event.
International Night
Takes place each fall
Take a trip around the world in one evening! During this beloved event, our Bucher Bear families so generously share their cultures with us: from delicious food, to photos, games, crafts, and much more.
Teacher Appreciation
Takes place each spring
We love to celebrate our teachers and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week each spring. Each day of the week is a different surprise or treat to let them know we are grateful for all they do.
Spring Fling
Takes place each spring
Spring Fling is our annual springtime festival with games, food trucks, bounce fun, raffle prizes, and more!
Fall Fling
Takes place each fall
Celebrate fall with friends at our annual Fall Fling, filled with fun activities and entertainment to enjoy as a school community.
Warm Up With A Good Book
Warm Up With A Good Book celebrates reading by inviting families to come to Bucher after hours in their pajamas or comfy clothes to enjoy books read by teachers, as well as hot cocoa and snacks.
Takes place each winter
Fourth Grade Celebration
We send our fourth graders off to their new chapter with a celebration! Food, drink, treats, activities, and a keepsake are all part of this special afternoon celebrating our oldest Bucher Bears.
